Linga Winery Tour
Linga Winery is located in the leafy suburbs of Area 3 and was registered as a commercial entity in 2006.
It is primarily a production facility, producing about 12,500 bottles of fruit wine per year.
The winery nestles in tranquil spacious wooded grounds with amazing garden birds often seen.

Visitors will learn the background of Linga Winery, see some of the processes and technologies involved and sample at least 4 varieties of Linga Fruit Wine, paired with mainly home-baked snacks.
Your winery tour, in addition to wine drinking and delicious snacks, will cover the 6 ‘S’s + of Wine tasting.
Great networking is part of the experience.
It will also give you the opportunity to purchase from the Linga ‘store’ – Wines at wholesale prices, Linga Golf shirts, quirky coasters, Linga pottery goblets, chitenje bags, baskets and wine art by the talented artist Barbara Gadama and other original gifts.
The name ‘Linga’ means ‘a fortress’ in Chichewa and was the village of one of the Managing Partners of Linga Wine, Dr Timothy Ngwira’s mother in the Kasungu District.
Linga is a place steeped in Ngoni Chewa history linked with Paramont Chief Mwase.

Linga founders were passionate to add value to the abundance of amazing local fruits.
They offer 7 varieties of fine handcrafted wines produced from fruits including Jambula, Mulberry, Plum, Rosella, Strawberry, White Guava and White Peach They do not utilise grapes.
Their fruit wine has been called ‘the ‘Wine that tastes like Africa!’
Another pillar is Capacity building and normally University Food Science placement students will assist in making your visit memorable.
Linga Winery, a limited company, is certified by the Malawi Bureau of Standards, holds MS178 and the production system was certified MS-ISO22000 Food Safety Management System in June 2020.
Linga Fruit Wine is predominantly distributed nationally through Shoprite and Chipiku, Foodlovers and Big Mart branches and the best hotels.
They can also be found at Farmers Market in Lilongwe and Blantyre.
