The internet is still expensive in Malawi, although mobile phone coverage has increased, including 4G network.
You’ll find several internet cafes in Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu and most towns.
Wi-Fi is also available in cities and larger towns, as well as at many resort areas and smaller villages, however, in rural areas access is better with mobile phone or dongles (portable modems) provided by the mobile phone companies.
Internet bundles can be purchased for smartphones through both TNM and Airtel.
