Malawi Creations is a souvenir shop located at BICC in Lilongwe.
It was founded by Innocent Sopani Nyirenda in 2021 and aims to sell Malawi to the outside world.
It offers a wide range of products ranging from jewelry, traditional wear, crafts, paintings, curios and branded shirts and caps, key holders, aprons, bags, flags and sandals.
Their products are either made from ‘Chitenje’ or Malawian colors to depict the culture of Malawi.
It is not only through their products.
The owner of the shop shows patriotism to Malawian culture through the way he dresses.
Innocent Sopani Nyirenda dresses in Malawian attire and attained the nickname of ‘Malawi King’.
Their branded shirts depict the local livelihood of Malawi.
For example, their branded shirts showcase typical Malawian style with elements of Malawian survival like the popular phrase ‘muli bwanji’.
